 My
name is Alexia. I live in Pierce, Colorado
and I have been heavy since puberty around age 13.
I had tried diet after diet after diet with no luck
and I got progressively more and more heavy with
each failed attempt. I was fed up when I heard about
Dr. Johnell coming to Greeley to do gastric bypass
surgery. My aunt had had the surgery a year or so
before and it had worked out great for her so I
thought well what is the harm in going for a visit.
After meeting with Dr. Johnell
I was able to make up my mind. I knew I wanted to
do the surgery and I want Dr. Johnell to do it for
me. He is a very caring individual and he made my
final decision very easy.
The day of surgery I weighed in
at 296 pounds and I was a size 26. A little over
a year later I am 160 and a size 10. I haven’t
been this happy in a very long time. I feel great,
look great, love buying new clothes, and just overall
am so satisfied with my life now that I cannot even
imagine what life would have been like had I not
had the surgery. I would do the surgery again at
any time is what I tell people but only if Dr. Johnell,
Patrice, Connie, and the rest of the wonderful staff
were there with me every step of the way. They are
incredible people doing incredible work that they
love to do and that is the best thing to have for
this kind of procedure. I highly recommend the surgery
but even more so I recommend having the surgery
with Dr. Johnell and his amazing staff!
